This is such a good book called ''When You Reach Me'' written by Rebecca Stead. You would love it! It is about a girl called Miranda, so many things happen to her that kind of turn her whole world upside down. Firstly her best friend Sal gets punched by a kid on the street and starts ignoring Miranda. Also her mum is about to be on TV game show. Plus she keeps getting these really wierd notes. saying stuff like i am coming to save your friends life. This person who sends these notes not only tells her wierd things but knows things about her that havn't even happened yet. Here it is below.
Week One - Write a summary of the class reading book you looked at last term. What was it called? Who wrote it? What was the basic storyline? What stood out for you as its main themes? Would you recommend it to someone else?
My book that I read last term was called Midnite. It was written by a man named Randolph Stow. The basic storyline was that Midnite was a Australian bushranger, he was seventeen, he wasn't very bright, he was an orphan and he had 5 animal friends ( Khat the Siamese cat, Dora the yellow cow, Red Ned the strawberry-coloured horse, Gyp the sheepdog and Major the Major Mitchel Cockatoo).
I also read the book Midnite and I liked it because it was different to many other books and it was very out there. I also liked all the cool adventures the book took us on.
I didn't like how the book was always was about Midnite and how it would of been cooler if they went into another side of the world and rather went onto different things
I recamnd this book to people who like to go on adventures
Week Two - What type of books do you enjoy reading? Do you like funny books? Science Fiction? Scary stories? Adventure? Sad stories? Do you have a favourite book at the moment? Do you prefer to read stories where the main character is your age? Male? Female?
I like reading action and cool magic books because they're adventurous and amazing. My favourite book at the
moment is Harry Potter number 7 even though I have read it a million gazilion times.I like it when the character is
my age because if the character was my age, it would be cool like it was you and if it wasn't my
age it would be like watching a real movie so I like it when the person is my age and when they're not my age.
I like reading about both males and females.
You most disliked character in a book and why.
Harry Potter's Bellatrix Lestrange is my most disliked character in that book because it is written
in the book that she tortured "Neville Longbottom's" mother and father. it is also because she is a
Death Eater that went looking for "Lord Voldemort" after he vanished, she has been on the
dark side for almost all her life and that she is just suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a
mean person.
Bellatrix Lestrange is a very bad, very bloodthirsty and very murderous person and
a very faithful servant to Lord Voldemort. her sister, Narcissa Malfoy with her
husband (Lucius Malfoy) and her son (Draco Malfoy) are also Death Eathers.
Draco Malfoy was a enemy of Harry Potter's at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and
Wizardry. Bellatrix Lestrange is the meanest person( next to Lord Voldemort) i have ever read about.
Oh i agree jenna Bellatrix is really really unpleasant! Helena Boham Carter played her in the movies and did an excellent job at being horrible! Mrs G

i haven't read ani justin d'ath books so i don't really have much
to say about them, but i have red a book from the
booklist called "Adrift". its about this brother and sister
named flyn and sally who get onto a crate that accidently
floats away out to sea.they had stayed out on the crate
for a few days when sally askes her brother flyn,
what it would be like to be drowning. flyn says that
he doesnt want to think about it right then.
then flyn had thought about his father and how angry
he would be when- or if (more likely)- they got back
to their holiday house and saw him. when sally had asked
him what would it be like drowning he didn't answer because he
DID know what it would be like drowning. one day. when
flyn was younger and sally wasnt born, flyn had been climbing a
tree that went over a smallish clifftop the branch he ahd been on
had broken from the tree and flyn hads fallen in the stream below.
wgen he woke up from half drowning, his father was standing over
him and behind him was a girl flyn knew by sight but had never spoken to.
it turned out that the girl flyn had been wondering about had saved him from
the stream just before he had almost drowned. her name was Dot.
